Top-Seeded Ellinwood to host Class 2A volleyball regional Monday
Ellinwood will host a Kansas Class 2A regional at 5 p.m. Monday at the Ellinwood High School North (New) Gym and South (old) Gym).
No. 1-seeded Ellinwood will play No. 16 Herington (6-22), No. 9 Hoxie (18-16) and No. 8 Ell-Saline (17-15) at the New Gym.
Ell-Saline will play Hoxie and Herington at the Old Gym. Hoxie also plays Herington.
The top two teams advance to the sub-state round.

Moundridge, Inman to host 2A volleyball regionals
The Moundridge High School volleyball team has a 30-4 record and is the No. 1 seed in Kansas Class 2A and will host a Kansas Class 2A regional on Monday starting at 5 p.m.
Other schools assigned to the Moundridge regional are Berean Academy (18-13), Marion (15-17) and Sublette (1-27).
The Inman 2A regional will feature Inman (25-7), Sterling (15-18) and Remington (2-28).
The Medicine Lodge 2A regional features Medicine Lodge (24-8), Stanton County (24-10), Wichita Central Christian Academy (11-22) and Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School (5-19).
The Classical School of Wichita will host a Class 2A regional. The team assigned are Classical (23-9), Conway Springs (22-9), Belle Plaine (8-21) and Oxford (9-25).

Cheney hosts 3A volleyball regional Monday
Cheney High School will host a Kansas Class 3A volleyball regional at 5 p.m. Monday.
The No. 2 seeded Cheney Cardinals (32-3) will host No. 7 seed Hillsboro, No. 10 seed Smoky Valley and No. 15 seed Council Grove.
In the first- and second-round, Cheney will play Council Grove and Smoky Valley at the high school gym. In the first- and second-round, Hillsboro will play Smoky Valley and Council Grove at the middle school gym.
The final round matches will be played following the first- and second-round matches. Cheney will play Hillsboro at the high school gym. Smoky Valley will play Council Grove at the middle school gym.
The two finishers will advance to the sub-state round on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students.

Nickerson volleyball team to play at 3A Beloit regional
The Nickerson High School Panther volleyball team is the No. 14 seed at the Kansas Class 3A regional quad Monday at Beloit.
Other teams assigned to the regional are No. 3 Beloit, No. 6 Syracuse and No. 11 Colby. Nickerson will play Beloit, Syracuse and Colby.
The first matches start at 4 p.m.

Halstead to host 3A regional volleyball quad
The Halstead Dragons have earned the No. 3 seed in Kansas Class 3A and will host a Regional 3 volleyball quad next Monday.
Matches will begin at 5 p.m. at Halstead High School.
The other teams competing in the regional are Garden Plain, Kingman, and Minneapolis.
St. John-Hudson to host host volleyball regional on Tuesday
The St. John-Hudson Tiger volleyball team is the No. 3 seed in Kansas Class 1A Division I and will host a Regional 3 triangular on Tuesday.
Central Plains is the No. 6 seed and Elkhart is the No. 11 seed.
St. John will play Elkhart in the first match at 5 p.m. and Central Plains in the third match. The second match is Central Plains against Elkhart.
