Salina City Commissioners have approved plans for a new hotel in south Salina.
During their Monday meeting, the commission voted 4-0 with Mayor Mike Hoppock recusing himself, to move the plans forward. The project will feature a four-story, 109-room, Home2 Suites by Hilton. The hotel will be built at 3135 S. 9th Street, just north of Avenue A.
Back in September, the Planning Commission approved the final plat 5-0, after finding it conformed with all applicable codes.
