PAT E. Moore Jr.
1967-2026

Pat Eugene “Sunny” Moore Jr., 59, passed away on October 4, 2026, in the Emergency Room at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 1, 1967, in Lyons, Kansas, to Pat E. Moore Sr. and Kathryn Norris Moore. Sunny spent most of his life in Kansas, with some years also spent in Florida. He married Wendy Sneath in 1990, and together they had one son, Bryce. They later divorced. In 1998, Sonny married Mary Cox, and together they raised two daughters, Misty and Sidney. Throughout his life, Sunny worked at Hutchinson Community College as a janitor for several years before later working for Stuckey Lumber. Sunny enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing, NASCAR, video games, good food, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed trips to the zoo and Universal Studios whenever he had the opportunity. Sunny was the most lovable, stubborn, hard-headed, and grouchy person you could ever meet. He had a personality that could make you laugh, shake your head, and sometimes do both at the same time. He will be remembered for being uniquely himself and for the memories he made with the people who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Williams (B.W. Williams); his father, Pat Moore Sr. (Carol Moore); his brother, Allen Moore; his sister, Dianne Waymire (Jeff Waymire); his children, Bryce White (Tamara) and Sidney Martinez (Kamerin Martinez); his wife, Mary Cox Moore; grandchildren Kaylee White, Darci, Maddy, Charligh, Sage, and Carter; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Willardson. Sunny leaves behind many memories, stories, and people who loved him and will miss him dearly. Though he is gone, his stubbornness, humor, and one-of-a-kind personality will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Cremation has taken place. No services will be held.
