The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory for Allen County Rural Water District No. 10.
The advisory was issued after a waterline break caused a loss of pressure in the distribution system. Inadequate pressure can reduce chlorine residuals and allow bacterial contamination.
Laboratory testing of drinking water samples found no evidence of bacteriological contamination. KDHE officials determined that all other conditions placing the system at risk of contamination have been resolved.
