A Sedgwick County judge on Monday has sentenced Angelynn Mock, a former St. Louis TV news anchor, to life in prison for killing her mother in Wichita.
Mock, 48, admitted in August to stabbing her mother to death last year at her mother’s home in Wichita. She will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years. The court credited her for time already spent in jail since her arrest.
Mock’s guilty plea meant she avoided a trial. Police found her mother dead at the scene after a 911 call. Investigators collected evidence and arrested Mock soon after.
