Police arrested a man late Wednesday night after a disturbance at YaYa’s restaurant on South Santa Fe. Officers responded around 10pm to a report of an intoxicated and disorderly person.
According to Captain Jim Feldman, employees told police that 36-year-old Justin Trusty entered the restaurant while already intoxicated. When staff asked him to leave, Trusty refused, allegedly pushed an employee and acted as if he might punch them.
Officers arrived and placed him into custody without incident. Police say he became violent while at Salina Regional Health Center for a medical check before booking – and threatened to strike and kill officers.
Police booked Trusty into the Saline County Jail on charges of criminal threat, battery, assault, criminal trespass, assault of a law enforcement officer, and disorderly conduct.
