Residents in Allen and Woodson counties will have opportunities to receive flu vaccinations close to home during October.
Allen County Regional Hospital–Iola Clinic will host a drive-thru flu shot event Friday, Oct. 16, allowing participants to receive vaccinations without leaving their vehicles. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 620-365-6933.
The Woodson County office of the SEK Multi-County Health Department will also offer public flu clinics at three senior centers:
- Neosho Falls Senior Center: Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.
- Yates Center Senior Center: Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Toronto Senior Center: Thursday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The Woodson County clinics welcome community members of all ages, and senior center membership is not required.
Organizers encourage residents to receive their annual flu vaccination before flu season is in full swing.
