Salina Police responded to a serious domestic violence call just after 10pm on September 23rd.
According to Police Captain Jim Feldman, a child inside the home called 911 for help. When officers arrived at the south Salina residence, they spoke with a woman who had visible injuries.
The victim told police that 31-year-old William Ogozaly began yelling at her before physically attacking her. She reported being struck and kicked in the head and body. Ogozaly also choked her during the attack. When a child tried to intervene, Ogozaly struck the child as well.
The woman said Ogozaly then dragged her through the house while continuing to hit and kick her. Throughout the assault, he threatened to kill her. The child managed to call 911, which brought officers to the scene.
Police arrested Ogozaly without further incident. He now faces charges including aggravated domestic battery, aggravated kidnapping, multiple counts of criminal threat and battery.
Paramedics took the woman to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of her injuries.
