Darbie Wells came in tie for 10th place on Monday, carding a 13-over-par 83 at the Salina South Invitational at Salina Municipal, leading the Hutchinson High girls golf team to seventh place at the 16-team event.
It was Wells’ third top-10 finish of the season. She finished just three shots behind seventh place.
Hutchinson’s team score of 374 was only four strokes away from a top-five finish, and 31 ahead of eighth-place Salina Central.
