McPherson College is adding a Formula SAE team, giving students a chance to design and build their own race car.
The team will bring together students from mechanical engineering, automotive restoration, business and other programs. They’ll begin organizing and building this spring, with plans to compete in 2028.
The college says Formula SAE combines engineering and business skills, while giving students hands-on experience that can lead to careers in automotive and motorsports industries.
