The Great Bend Panthers celebrated homecoming night with a 28-21 victory over the Garden City Buffaloes in a Western Athletic Conference football game at Great Bend’s Memorial Stadium.
The score was tied 7-7 after the first quarter and 14-14 halftime. The Panthers led 21-14 at the end of the third quarter. Both teams scored 7 points in the fourth quarter.
Great Bend (3-0) plays at Buhler next Friday. Buhler (2-1) lost 32-13 to McPherson.
Garden City (2-1) plays at Hays High (2-1) next Friday. Hays lost 20-14 at home in Week 3 to Bentonville, Ark.
