McPHERSON, Kan. — September 18, 2026 — City Beverage is thrilled to announce that the legendary Budweiser Clydesdales will officially kick off their highly anticipated community visit with a Full Hitch Parade straight down Main Street in the City of McPherson today, Friday, September 18.
Residents and families are invited to experience the magic, feel the thunder of their hooves, and view the iconic red beer wagon up close. The public can also come out early to witness the intricate staging process as the full team gets harnessed.
EVENT TIMELINE & SCHEDULED PHOTO STOPS:

- 2:00 PM | Hitch-Up Staging & Public Viewing
- Shared parking lot of Dillons #36 / Culver’s Liquor (1321 N. Main St.). Come early to watch the full eight-horse team get harnessed to the historic wagon.
- 3:00 PM | Parade Starts & Photo Op
- Official roll-out begins from the Dillons #36 lot.
- 3:25 PM | Culver’s Liquor Stop
- Brief pause for a public photo opportunity and a special commemorative delivery.
- 3:45 PM | American Legion Stop
- Brief pause for public photo opportunities.
- 4:00 PM | McPherson County Courthouse Turn-Around Point
- Final photo opportunity and looping around Warren Place to head back.
- 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | Parade Concludes
- The hitch team returns to the Dillons #36 / Culver’s Lot for unhitching.
IMPORTANT PARKING & SAFETY NOTICE:
To ensure a safe environment for the public and the horses, parking cones and barricades have been placed along Main Street this morning. Visitors are highly encouraged to plan their parking ahead of time, line the sidewalks of Main Street early, and keep the main roadway completely clear as the hitch team approaches.
