St. John-Hudson High School senior Gentri Bright reached a major career milestone Saturday, recording her 2,000th career assist at the 52nd annual Pratt-Skyline Thunderbird Volleyball Tournament.
Bright was named to the All-Tournament Team.
In the tournament, St. John defeated Pawnee Heights 25-4, 25-11 and Pratt-Skyline and lost to South Gray 25-20, 14-25, 25-21.and Hutchinson Central Christian.
St. John will play a triangular at Haven Tuesday against Haven and Hoisington and will host Medicine Lodge on Thursday.
South Gray won the Pratt-Skyline tournament title with a 5-0 record and defeated Ingalls 25-18, 25-16 for the title.
In addition to beating Ingalls and St. John, the Rebels also defeated Ashland 25-23, 25-11, Marion 25-18, 25-13 and Sterling 25-18, 25-20.
Hutchinson Central Christian defeated Pratt-Skyline 25-13, 25-12, Pretty Prairie 25-17, 25-17, Cunningham 25-12, 27-25 and lost to Ingalls 19-25, 27-25, 25-16 and Sterling 25-20, 30-32, 26-24.
Sterling defeated Pratt-Skyline 25-12, 25-10.
Pretty Prairie defeated Pratt-Skyline 25-3, 25-7 and Attica 25-11, 25-15 and lost to Marion 23-25, 25-21, 25-21 and Ashland 25-12, 23-25, 25-16.
Cunningham defeated Attica 25-8, 25-22 and Bucklin 25-19, 25-22 and lost to Medicine Lodge 25-13, 25-7 and Kiowa County 25-20, 20-25, 25-20.
Pawnee Heights defeated Attica 25-21, 25-14 and Bucklin 25-21, 21-25, 25-1 and lost to Hodgeman County 25-11, 25-14 and Marion 25-14, 25-11.
Pratt-Skyline defeated Bucklin 25-22, 16-25, 25-19 and lost to Ingalls 25-8, 25-19.
