A $1 to Buckle Up

Drivers in the community got a little extra incentive to buckle up during a recent safety campaign.

The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with State Farm and Wendy’s to reward customers who arrived at the Wendy’s drive-thru wearing their seat belts. Deputies handed out one-dollar bills to each buckled-up person who went through.

Officials say the event was a fun way to remind drivers that taking a few seconds to buckle up can help save lives. The message is simple: buckle up, drive safely and arrive alive.
