The Kansas Highway Patrol is encouraging motorists to plan ahead and make safety a priority during the Labor Day weekend. Troopers will be conducting additional enforcement as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
Excessive speed, inattention and impaired driving are among the leading causes of traffic crashes. The Patrol reminds drivers that everyone has a responsibility to travel safely and says troopers will be on Kansas roadways enforcing traffic laws and assisting motorists.
Drivers who need assistance while traveling in Kansas can call *47 (*HP). Motorists on the Kansas Turnpike can call *582 (*KTA) for help.
