After a 3rd Place finish at the 4A State Tournament a season ago, the McPherson Bullpup girls golf team is prepped for another solid season in 2026.
The Bullpups will need to replace their top two individual state placers as they graduated Brodie Kuhn, who finished in third overall and Andi Buschbom who was also in the top 20 at 17th.
There is a good nucleus to build around this season for McPherson. Three golfers return after placing in the top half of the state individually and making the cut for day two. Seniors Pera Bauer and Amelia Moody and sophomore Lleyton Kuhn are all back for the Bullpups as they will attempt a run at another state trophy. Senior Addisen French is also back after making it to day two of the state meet a season ago.
The Bullpups have nine regular season varsity meets on the schedule this year. Highlights include the McPherson Invitational at Turkey Creek on September 17 and the 20-team Buhler Invitational on September 25.
The season will open at the Andover Invitational this morning at 8:30. The regular season concludes with the AVCTL Division 3 & 4 Tournament in Wellington on October 6 before Sub-State on October 12 and State at Emporia Municipal Golf Course October 19 and 20.
