The Hutchinson High volleyball team opened the season Saturday at an early-season tournament at the Salthawk Activity Center, and the Salthawks played five matches, losing all five.
The Salthawks opened the day with a 25-11, 25-13 loss to Andover Central, before dropping a match to Campus, 25-15, 25-22.
The Salthawks then had their best performance of the day in a three-set loss to Emporia. After the Salthawks won the first set 25-18, Emporia came back to win the next two 25-13, 25-12.
Hutchinson ended the day with straight-set loss to Kapaun Mount Carmel and Maize.
