The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office waring drivers to slow down in work zones or around accidents after some tense moments in foggy conditions on Wednesday.
Deputies report investigating a crash and making an arrest during separate incidents when other drivers sped through the area, passed unsafely and braked abruptly. At the arrest scene, oncoming traffic was nearly struck multiple times, while responders at the crash scene were nearly hit.
The sheriff’s office is reminding drivers to use their headlights and slow down in dense fog.
