COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tabor Volleyball closed out the 2026 Hampton Inn Classic on Saturday afternoon as they took on Cumberland (Tenn.) in the tournament finale. The Bluejays entered the match coming off a tough loss to St. Ambrose on Saturday morning, 3-1.
The Bluejays came out strong, but ultimately fell short in the match, 3-0 (23-25, 10-25, 23-25).
Esther Nederveen led the way offensively with eight kills, while Kingzley Ratzlaff finished with four, and Janne Ramakers finished with three. Kytzia Cortez recorded five service aces in the match, the highest single-game total for a Bluejay athlete this season. Defensively, Camila Mendes Toledo led the way with eight digs, while Josephine Fuamatu finished with seven, and Makenna Wamsher finished with five, while Ramakers led the team with two total blocks. Assists-wise, Annerieke Nederveen was the Bluejay leader once again, recording 14 in the loss.
The Bluejays look to bounce back on Wednesday, August 26th as the host Mid-America Christian and Baker in the Tabor College Triangular.
