Allen Volleyball Picked No.7 in Preseason Poll

After finishing with an 18-13 record last season, the Allen Community College volleyball team has been picked to finish seventh in the 2026 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) Division II regular-season standings, according to the conference’s preseason coaches poll released Wednesday.

Under first-year head coach Scott Weston, Allen received 38 points in the preseason voting, placing the Red Devils seventh among the conference’s 10 teams.

Cowley Community College was selected as the preseason favorite, receiving 95 points and six first-place votes. Johnson County Community College followed in second with 89 points and two first-place votes, while KCKCC earned third with 84 points and two first-place votes.

Highland Community College was picked fourth with 63 points, followed by Neosho County Community College (59), Labette Community College (42), Allen (38), Fort Scott Community College (33), Independence Community College (28) and Coffeyville Community College (19).

The 2026 regular season begins for Allen on Friday, August 21, as the Red Devils travel to Rockford, Illinois, to compete in the Opening Weekend Tournament. Allen will play four matches during the tournament against Parkland College, Sauk Valley Community College, Pima Community College and Southwestern Community College.
