Severe storms that ripped through Salina this summer have kept city cleanup crews busy for weeks.
According to the city, at the height of the cleanup efforts – about 300 trucks a day were hauling tree limbs and debris to the landfill. Over 4,500 loads were routed out of Salina to the site.
In a few short months, an estimated 6,000 tons has been transported out of Salina to the landfill.
