Students in Marmaton Valley USD 256 will return to the classroom on Thursday, August 20.
The new school year will get underway next Tuesday with an open house, parent meetings, a back-to-school barbecue and yearbook sales.
The open house will begin at 5 p.m., followed by an elementary parent meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the New Gym. A sixth-grade parent meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the high school library, with a ninth-grade parent meeting to follow.
