Allen County commissioners are considering a new process for countywide burn bans.
The proposal would let the county’s six fire chiefs issue burn bans when dangerous fire conditions develop between commission meetings.
The plan also calls for expanded public alerts and fines of up to 25-hundred dollars for intentional violations.
