Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Cade Strathman, a 2026 McPherson High School graduate, as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Strathman had a great week in helping lead McPherson to third place at the Class 4A state baseball tournament in Manhattan. In 11 plate appearances, Strathman had an eye- popping .818 on-base percentage. He only recorded four official at-bats and had two hits, but Strathman also walked five times and was hit by a pitch twice. He also pitched 7 ⅔ innings in two games, going 1-1 with a 3.65 ERA.
The season – Strathman, who has graduated from McPherson, batted .317 for the Bullpups. He had 26 hits, belted three home runs and drove in 22 runs. On the mound, Strathman went 8-2 with a 1.99 ERA.
