Lauren Sleder turned in one of the top singles seasons in Kansas Class 3A as a sophomore, finishing with a 36-3 record and placing fifth at the state girls tennis tournament.
The Larned junior earned All-State, Academic All-State and Academic All-CKL honors, establishing herself as one of the state’s rising tennis standouts.
She is a Sports in Kansas girls tennis player to watch during the 2026 fall season.
With another year of experience and a strong sophomore campaign behind her, Sleder enters the season with the confidence and consistency to contend for an even higher finish at state.
“Going into my junior year I’m more than excited to compete again,” Sleder said. “My goal last year at state was to just win at least one match. Now it’s just to keep growing and improving as a player and do better than I did last year.”
Sleder also excels on the basketball court, where she earned Keady Classic All-Tournament Team honors, Second Team All-League recognition and Sports in Kansas All-State Honorable Mention.
Sleder will once again be a key leader for Larned as she looks to build on last season’s impressive state finish and continue climbing the Class 3A ranks.
