HUTCHINSON, Kan. — United Way of Reno County (UWRC) has officially opened applications for grant funding available at the second annual Spark Tank Live event — a live-pitch competition that will allow local nonprofit organizations the opportunity to highlight their community-focused solutions to win a share of the $25,000+ in funding available that evening. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24th at the 1861 Club in Hutchinson.
This year, Spark Tank nonprofit pitches will spotlight upstream programs and solutions that help ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families and individuals reduce barriers to long-term financial stability.
To be eligible to apply, nonprofits must be operating programming in Reno County, align with UWRC focus areas and demonstrate measurable outcomes as they relate to reducing the number of ALICE households in our community.
