Crews are finishing up repairs to Humboldt’s iconic downtown water tower.
Workers with Maguire, out of Sioux Falls, sandblasted and refinished the inside, added a new overflow pipe, and replaced the exterior ladder. They’re also painting the exterior. It’s part of a larger citywide project that will freshen up all three of Humboldt’s water towers.
They’d hoped the downtown tower would be finished before next weekend’s Water Wars, but painting will take a little longer.
