Iola City Leaders Continue Work on 2027 Budget

Iola city leaders are continuing work on the 2027 budget ahead of a planned vote on August 24. During budget workshops in July, officials discussed future recreation projects, including new ballfield lighting, roof repairs, and upgrades to parks and sports facilities. New lights at the ballfield would cost about $200,000. City leaders are also considering modest increases to pool admission and community building rental fees.
