Beginning this week, Saline County property owners will receive a Notice of Estimated Taxes by mail.
Officials say the notice is not a bill, and no payment is due at this time. It is being mailed for informational purposes only. The estimate reflects proposed tax rates submitted by local taxing entities such as Saline County, the City of Salina, local school districts, and others.
The rates are based on preliminary budgets and are subject to change before final tax bills are issued in November.
