Emergency crews in Pittsburg responded Monday after a construction accident caused a gas leak near East Centennial Street. Firefighters and Kansas Gas Service evacuated nearby businesses and homes while police managed traffic. The leak came from a two-inch high-pressure gas line. Crews capped the leak, and officials said there is no longer any danger for residents or businesses.
