After an impressive freshman campaign, McPherson’s Adeline Kramer enters the 2026 cross country season looking to take another step forward among Kansas’ top distance runners.
Sports in Kansas rates Kramer as one of the top sophomore runners to watch in Kansas this fall.
As a freshman, Kramer placed fourth at the 4A Regional Championships before earning a 10th-place finish at the 4A State Cross Country Championships, establishing herself as one of the state’s top young talents.
Kramer is also a standout multi-sport athlete, helping McPherson soccer capture a Regional Team Championship while earning AVCTL Division 4 Honorable Mention All-League Defender honors.
Kramer believes teammate Kamryn Prescott could play a key role for the Bullpup cross country team this season as McPherson looks to build on last year’s success.
“I am very excited going into this season to put in the work needed to stay in the top 10 in the state,” Kramer told Sports in Kansas. “One of my goals this year is to get our school’s record in XC (cross country), which is only 9 seconds away from my PR (personal record).”
