The Hutchinson Monarchs will open the NBC World Series at 6 p.m. today at Eck Stadium on the Wichita State campus, as the Monarchs will take on Lonestar Baseball Club.
The Monarchs are the reigning NBC champion and will be looking for their fourth straight appearance in the championship game. The Monarchs also won the 2023 championship and finished runner-up in 2024.
The Monarchs were drawn into Pool A. The other teams in the pool are the Seattle Blackfins and TPA Texas. Those two teams will square off at noon on Friday.
The Monarchs will play at 6 p.m. Saturday against TPA Texas, and they will wrap up pool play at 8:30 p.m. Monday against the Blackfins.
The four pool winners will get a bye to Thursday’s quarterfinals. The second-place teams and third-place teams will play on Wednesday, the first night of bracket play.
Tickets can be purchased at the NBC Baseball website or at the Eck Stadium box office. Tickets are good for the entire day.
Saturday’s game is part of the “Baseball ‘Round the Clock” promotion, where fans can buy one ticket for 11 consecutive games, played over 33 straight hours.
All games will be at Eck Stadium, except the Aug. 1 championship game, which will be at Equity Bank Ballpark.
