Mace Krol is the new activities director for USD 312 Haven.
“USD 312 is excited to announce that the Board of Education has approved the hiring of Mace Krol as our next district activities director,” announced on UD 312’s Facebook site.
Mace joins Haven schools after serving as a physical education teacher and assistant activities director for Hutchinson Public Schools.
In addition to leading our activities and athletic programs, Krol will also be teaching a few class periods during the school day.
“I’m just excited,” Krol said. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity and I am ready to get to work.”
“We are excited to welcome Mace and his family to the Wildcat community and look forward to the leadership, enthusiasm and experience he will bring to our students, coaches, sponsors and school district,” said USD 312.
Krol served as the Hutchinson High School baseball coach from 2022-2026. The Salthawks posted records of 4-17, 18-10, 10-9 and 4-22 with Krol as head coach.
His brother Adam Krol is the baseball coach at Andale/Garden Plain. His brother Noah Krol is the Haven baseball coach.
Mace, Adam and Noah Krol faced each other in the “Krol Series” baseball triangular in 2025.
Their father, the late Rich Krol, coached Nickerson High School for 30 years (with four state titles) and was posthumously inducted into the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches in 2022.
After graduating from Nickerson High School, Mace Krol played in the infield at Hutchinson Community College, Nicholls State University and Fort Hays State University.
Krol helped the HutchCC Blue Dragons place third in the 2010 NJCAA Division I baseball tournament.
