Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce graduated Hutchinson High School Salthawk Rhyan Galyon as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Galyon was instrumental in what was the Salthawks’ best postseason win since 2021. Galyon was far from 100%, played injured, and still scored the only goal in a 1-0 road win over an Andover Central team that defeated Hutch by three goals earlier in the season.
The season – Galyon finished her high school career as quite possibly the greatest soccer player in Salthawk history. This season, she scored 22 goals and dished out 11 assists, with her most productive game coming with six goals in a win over Salina Central. Galyon was named AVCTL Division 1 co-MVP, and for her FC Wichita club team, was recently named the ECNL South Region Most Outstanding Player. Galyon will play collegiately at Miami Dade College.
