Andale-Garden Plain junior Brooklyn Sele was named to the Wichita Eagle’s All-Metro Softball First Team.
Eagle sports writer Taylor Eldridge posted the All-Metro softball list on Wednesday.
According to the All-Metro article, Sele was a steady force at shortstop for an Andale-Garden Plain team that won 20 games and reached the 4A semifinals.
She was voted first team all-league in AV-CTL Division IV and second team all-state in 4A. Sele finished with 37 hits, three home runs, 19 RBIs, 31 runs and 19 stolen bases while batting .463 with a 1.193 OPS.
Other area athletes were named to the All-Metro Second Team and Third Team.
