The City of La Harpe posted on their Facebook page Thursday that customers of Cole’s Trash Service who did not bag all trash in Cole carts would have their carts picked up.
Shelly from Cole’s Trash Service as advised Iola Radio News while they would prefer people bag trash, it is NOT mandatory as the city’s post indicated.
Shelly said they would never pull a customer’s cart for that reason. She noted they have had a lot of calls about this, and Cole’s and we want to state bagging of trash is desirable, but it’s not a requirement.
