Hutchinson Trinity Catholic’s Drew Dechant was named Sports in Kansas Class 2-1A All-State Baseball Pitcher of the Year for 2026.
Player of the Year honors went to Hays-Thomas More Prep-Marian’s Ty Schmeidler and Coach of the Year honors went to Frankfort’s Drue Henton.
Dechant and Schmeidler were joined on the First Team by Trinity outfielder Kaid McElgunn and designated hitter Sam Vogel and TMP’s Carson Liles, Caden Dinkel and Grant Nehls and Sedgwick’s Owen Luper.
The Class 2-1A Second Team All-State list included Little River’s Camden Strecker, Moundridge’s Clay Wilson, Logan Greenwalt and Layton Schmidt, Inman’s Korbyn McClellan and TMP’s Logan Baalman.
