The Great Bend Bat Cats, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this summer, pounded the Kingman Islanders 21-2 Tuesday night in Kingman.
Great Bend, coached by Roger Ward, has started the season with a 5-1 record.
The Bat Cats lost to Kingman 9-8 in a lightning-delayed game Monday night at Great Bend’s Al Burns Memorial Field and downed the Derby Twins 13-1 Saturday at home.
The Bat Cats opened the season May 30 wth a 9-1 victory over the Dodge City A’s at Dodge City.
The Bat Cats defeated the Kansas Cannons 4-1 on June 2 in Augusta and 11-4 on June 3 at Great Bend. A June 4 game at Derby was canceled because of weather.
The Bat Cats host a 6 p.m. doubleheader Thursday against the Performance Factory Phenoms from Rose Hill.
