The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued flood warnings along the Neosho River from Iola downstream to Parsons.
At Iola the stage of the Neosho as of 8;30 PM was 14 feet and rising. It is expected to rise above the 15 feet flood state late tonight and crest at 15.8 feet Wednesday morning, falling below flood stage late Wednesday morning.
At Chanute the river was at 20.8 feet and rising, with a forecast crest of 23.5 feet early Wednesday morning, falling below the 23 feet flood stage Wednesday evening.
At Parsons the Neosho was at 20.1 feet, and expected to crest at 21.7 feet Thursday morning, falling below the 21 feet flood stage Thursday evening.
