Lyons High School junior David Pando placed fifth in Class 3A boys with a time of 11.18 seconds at the Kansas State Track and Field Championships, held Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University’s Crossland Stadium.
Pando also placed eighth in 3A boys long jump (20-4.25) and was 16frh in the 200-meter dash prelims (23.32).
Lyons senior Hendrix Starbuck placed sixth in the Kansas Class 3A boys discus competition with a Kansas Top 50 effort of 161 feet, 8 inches.
The Lyons Lions boys tied for 27th place in Class 3A boys with 8 points.
