The Hutchinson Monarchs’ home opener Saturday at Hobart-Detter Field was postponed because of storms that passed through Hutchinson.
The Monarchs’ game against the Performance Factory Phenoms will now be played at 6 p.m. Sunday at Hobart-Detter Field.
The Monarchs, the reigning NBC World Series champions, opened the season Friday with a 10-6 road win over the Phenoms in Rose Hill.
The Monarchs led 4-1 after four innings and then scored six runs in the fifth inning, blowing the game open. Jackson Harding’s two-run double was the big hit in the inning.
The Phenoms outhit the Monarchs 13-12. Nash Wray and Marcus Gradney had three hits apiece for the Monarchs.
Jeffrey Neill was the winning pitcher, as Neill started and threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings. Neill struck out six.
