WINFIELD, Kan. – The Trinity Catholic boys golf team put together a great two-day showing at the KSHSAA 2A State Golf Championships at Quail Ridge Golf Course. When the dust settled, they ended up with the 3rd Place trophy.
Three Celtic golfers finished in the top 20. Tyler Casebolt brought home a 7th Place finish with a score of 157 over two rounds. Miles Blaylock tied for 12th at 161 and Ian Shaw was 18th with 167. Dean Nelson, Matt Armour and Seamus Hogan rounded out the third place team for Trinity Catholic.
Also of note in the area, Sterling’s Cameron Morris and Luke Friesen from Berean Academy tied for 19th.
Team wise, Sacred Heart of Salina won their 11th straight state championship, finishing four strokes ahead of Syracuse for the title.
