Nickerson softball team falls to Cimarron in The season came to an end for the Nickerson High School softball team with a 14-4 loss to Cimarron in a Kansas Class 3A Regional 4 Region 1 fist-round game Tuesday at Cimarron.
Nickerson pitcher Mayci Terhune reached 100 strikeouts for the season.
The Panthers finished the season with a 4-23 record.
In Class 3A Regional 4 Region 2, the season came to a close for the Lyons girls softball team with a 13-0 loss to Scott Community Wednesday at Scott City.
Lyons finished the season with an 0-23 record.
