Hutchinson High qualified one for the Class 5A state golf tournament on Monday at the 5A substate in Hays.
Alex Haas shot a 14-over-par 85 and finished in 20th place.
The Salthawks finished in seventh place with a 388 team score. Hays won the championship at Smoky Hill Country Club with a 313.
Haas will compete in the 5A state tournament May 26-27 at Tallgrass Golf Club in Wichita.
