PRATT, Kan. – McPherson High School Softball swept Pratt on Tuesday, April 28, using a combined 28 hits in the doubleheader to win 10-1 & 6-1.

McPherson scored in five out of the seven innings in game one, winning 10-1 on 16 hits. Six players had multiple hits, led by Brooke Doile, who hit 3-4 with two RBI. Rylie Whitfield also had two RBI, including hitting her seventh home run of the season.
Carmin Pavlovich threw all seven innings, striking out seven batters while allowing just three hits. She also hit 2-4 offensively.
Game two saw nearly the same, seeing McPherson use 12 hits to win 6-1. Pavlovich had another strong game, hitting 3-4 with 3 RBI. Kadence Zaharis, Pera Bauer, and Annalis Gross contributed with two hits apiece.
Ashlyn Schroeder got the start in the circle, striking out nine batters in seven innings. She threw a perfect first three innings before Pratt got on the board in the 4th. A stellar double play by Gross broke up a potential rally in the 6th inning after catching a bunt attempt and throwing out the lone baserunner by Pratt in one play.
McPherson moves up to 16-6 on the season. The Bullpups will have over a week before their next competition, which will be at a quad in Great Bend on Friday, May 8.
