Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Moundridge High School senior Heath Churchill as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Churchill won two events and finished second in another during the Conrad Nightingale Invitational on April 24 in Halstead. Churchill won the 110-meter hurdles in 15.58 seconds, and he also won a deep field in the high jump, winning on misses by clearing 6-feet, 8-inches, alongside two others. Churchill also finished second in the 300 hurdles in a time of 40.57. He was one of two hurdlers to go under 41 seconds.
The season – Churchill, a multi-sport senior standout, is having another great season on the track. His season bests are: 110 hurdles, 15.05; 300 hurdles, 40.46; high jump, 6-10; 400 meters, 53.2; and javelin 147-7. He has not made a decision on what college to attend yet, but is hopeful to compete in basketball and/or track.
