Bill Biermann is the final candidate for McPherson USD 418 Superintendent of Schools. Biermann will be taking part in a meet and greet this afternoon from 4-5 PM at the Central Office prior to his interview with the Board of Education this evening.
Biermann is currently Superintendent of Goodland USD 352, and before that served as Superintendent of Schools for the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City.
A Leoti native, Biermann began his career as a math teacher and boys’ basketball coach at Santa Fe Trail High School in Carbondale, south of Topeka where in 1997 he coached an undefeated 4A state championship team.
He later returned to Leoti where he taught and coached at Wichita County High School for six years before moving into administration at Holcomb.
In addition to superintendent duties, Biermann also has served as girls’ basketball coach at Goodland where he led the Cowgirls to two consecutive state titles, including an undefeated one in 2023.
