KDHE Lifts Boil Advisory for Bourbon County RWD 2C, Continues for Uniontown

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has lifted the Boil Water Advisory for customers of Bourbon County Rural Water District 2C, however the advisory is continuing for now for the City of Uniontown, which gets water from the District.

The advisory was issued last Saturday after a major waterline in Fort Scott, which supplies RWD 2C, caused a loss of pressure in the system. District 2C was cleared after lab testing submitted to KDHE found no evidence of contamination.

Uniontown will remain under a boil water advisory until KDHE confirms through lab testing no evidence of contamination in their water system.
