Warriors Finish Fourth at KCAC Championship

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Sterling College golf finished out the season with a fourth-place finish as a team at the 2026 KCAC Men’s Golf Championship on Monday-Wednesday, April 20-22. The Warriors competed in four rounds of golf over the three day tournament hosted at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. The course boasts a yardage of 6,757 with a par of 72.

Senior Zach Surface led the team by placing seventh individually with a final score of +6 over four rounds. He delivered a consistent performance across the four rounds, highlighted by a second-round score of -2.

Freshman Tobias Tajet tied for 12th place, ending the tournament with a +11. His standout round came in the final round, where he shot a -1, marking a strong finish to the championship.

Senior Sondre Storli Jensen secured a tie for 19th place with a final total of +14. Jensen’s performance was marked by steady play, including a third-round score of +2.

Senior Anders Hermansen concluded the tournament in 26th place, achieving an even score in the opening round. Over the four rounds, he accumulated a total score of +20.

Junior Thomas Castelblanco and freshman Axel Vogt split participation in the tournament. Castelblanco played the first two rounds shooting +8 and +11. Vogt came is as the sub in the latter half of the championship, recording scores of +5 in both the third and fourth rounds.
