Brodie McCuan threw 6 2/3 innings of shutout baseball on Tuesday, leading the Hutchinson High baseball team to its second win of the season, winning 5-0 at Campus.
Campus won the first game of the doubleheader, 12-2.
McCuan allowed three hits and struck out seven. He did run into trouble a few times but wriggled free each time.
Merrick Brotzman hit a two-run single in the first inning, giving the Salthawks and early advantage and enough run support for McCuan, who added an RBI single later in the game.
Hutchinson improved to 2-14 and will return home Friday to take on Salina South.
